Do I really need a mobile version of my website?
It all boils down to a really simple reason: using your mobile phone to access the net is something that people find to be really easy.
Think about it. It’s something you can do while you’re:
* Out and about, looking for a particular business
* Leaving your laptop at home – it’s so much easier to browse the net on a mobile phone
* Waiting for the bus – look at the people at a bus stop – over half of them will be on their mobile phone.
* Sitting in the doctor’s office or waiting to pick up the kids from school
So, do you have a mobile website yet, or are you missing out on all those extra customers?
I must emphasise that a mobile site won’t replace your normal site. You will in fact have two sites, one designed for viewing on a computer (your current website will not be changed), and another designed to be viewed on a mobile phone.
